| Promoting harm reduction in Europe |
|
The European Harm Reduction Network (EuroHRN) has been recently formed by ten organisations with a shared interest in advocating for and sharing knowledge on harm reduction within Europe. It is made up of three sub-regional networks covering North, South and Eastern Europe and managed by a coordinator based at the International Harm Reduction Association in the UK.
The network will be delivering a series of projects through the funding provided from DPIP including a focus on overdose and drug related deaths, supporting local stakeholders to share practice at a national level, developing peer-led models of video advocacy for people who use drugs and practice shariing around drug consumption rooms. More details of these projects can be found on the website and will be shared through newsletters and updates. The secretariat of EuroHRN will continue to be based at Harm Reduction International and will act as the coordinator for the project as a whole. The Steering Group will includes the project partners and other key European stakeholders. The SG will meet on a regular basis (virtually and in person). Assisted by the secretariat, it will oversee the progress of all project activities.
