Promoting harm reduction in Europe

The European Harm Reduction Network (EuroHRN) has been recently formed by ten organisations with a shared interest in advocating for and sharing knowledge on harm reduction within Europe. It is made up of three sub-regional networks covering North, South and Eastern Europe and managed by a coordinator based at the International Harm Reduction Association in the UK.

ITARDD Letter to Italian President and Politicians: re-invent harm reduction In Italy
 ITARDD  is an Italian network of service providers, drug users, associations and local authorities which promotes harm reduction in Italy. The network issued a letter to the Italian president, the Parliament, the regions, city majors and the Anti Drugs Policy Department (DPA) , requesting a key role for harm reduction in local policies and programmes and urging to change the repressive drug laws in that country. The European Harm Reduction Network Conference 2014, 2 - 3 October, Amsterdam

EuroHRN will organise a network conference to present recent work on overdose prevention, drug consumption room survey, harm reduction in city policies and more.

The local host - De Regenboog Groep - will organise sessions on the Dutch situation around harm reduction and organise site visits. More information follows after the Basel event.
